Don't lose your mind

Are you losing your mind? I almost lost my mind to my business. And I want to tell you how to avoid it. One day when my kids were much younger, my boys were playing baseball and we used to spend a lot of time out at the baseball field. I was sitting in the stands and you hear all the sounds of the baseball park.

Come on, Tommy, You got this. Come on, boys. Finish strong. And I heard this small voice almost in the distance. Daddy! Daddy! Daddy. It is. I sit there and watch the game. I heard it again. A little bit louder. Daddy! Daddy! Daddy. As I sit there, I was thinking about how am I going to make payroll this week?

And then I felt a slap on my leg, and my little girl was down there. I look down and she says, Daddy, can I have a cool cup of cool cup as just a frozen kool aid? So I said, Sure. But then I stopped and I realized my body is in the stands, but my mind is back at the office.

And then I thought about all the times I had been somewhere. But I was present. All the times of sit in church, sit in the pews and not heard the sermon. All the times that had been at parties and laughed at jokes that I never heard. I realized then that I was losing my mind to my business. And not only was I losing my mind, I was losing my health.

I was on the verge of losing my family and I could have lost my life savings. I want to talk to you about the three things it takes to avoid losing your mind to your business. First lead. You need to surround yourself with amazing people who see your vision and you could become the leader you need to be to lead them to that vision.

Secondly, you need to grow. It's time to put your business in a position where you can remove yourself from the day to day and actually grow the company. And then third, live now that your business is in a position to pay you back for all the investment you've put in. It's time to live the life you deserve to live.
