Are you the leader your company needs?

Are you the right person to lead your company?  Or, are the members of your management team the right people to have in place to lead your company in the future? If you have a mobile phone, you've probably heard of the company Otterbox. They make these protective covers to protect your cell phone. It was founded by a guy named Kurt Richardson back in 1998, and today Otterbox is worth $2.5 billion.

As you can imagine, he's probably sitting on a nice little nest egg and he invests in companies all the time. I was listening to a podcast the other day and I heard him say he will not hire a CEO and put a CEO in place unless they've gone through a life plan. His point is, it's so important that you choose a leader whose life mission aligns with the company's mission. So together they can move the company forward.

Just about every month, I work with leaders to develop a life plan. Not only do we do that individually. I do it in workshops, and I work with companies to help their leadership move forward and to make sure their lives are aligned with the mission of the company. And as we filmed this, we're in October 2022.

It's just about time to start setting your goals for 2023 and any time you look at your life and you try to set goals for the future, it's a great time. But there's not much of a better time than to do it at the end of a year. Going into a new year. We're looking at what do we want to have happen in 2023 and beyond? When you walk away with a life plan, there really are three basic things you want to have. One. You want to have a daily routine that gives you a sense of purpose. Two, You want a clear plan that will help you accomplish your goals. And three, you want a life full of meaning.
